Upside-Down Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training 2011
The Upside-Down Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Program is focused on developing creative and problem solving teachers, who have a strong base in functional anatomy, basic biomechanics, and innovative teaching skills.

Beginning August 2nd 2012
- 800 hours
- Fundamentals $1000 (no prerequisites open to all), Level I $2500, Level II $2000, Level III $1500
- prerequisite- Starting with Level I training- Fundamentals, Pilates Experience, & 15 solo lessons with Lisa Orig (may be done concurrently to Training Program if necessary), Groundwork I, Equipment work I.

- Experiential Anatomy
- Basic Biomechanics
- Neuromuscular retraining fundamental exercises.
Level I- Foundations
- 10 weeks

- Dates September 27th – December 3rd
- Seminar Hours-Tuesdays 9am-1pm, Thursdays 9am-1pm
- Practical Hours- Saturdays 12pm-4pm (studio is open for personal practice, practice teaching, and observation if needed)

- Level I, & Level II Pilates based Exercises on Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Arc Barrel, Spine Corrector, Ped-o-Pole, and small apparatus!
120 Practical Hours

- 60 hours observation
- 30 hours personal practice
- 30 hours practice teaching

Level II- Strength and Flexibility
- 12 weeks
- Dates January 9th- March 31st
- Seminar Hours-Tuesdays 9am-1pm, Thursdays 9am-1pm
- Practical Hours- Saturdays 12pm-4pm (studio is open for personal practice, practice teaching, and observation if needed)

- Effective communication and teaching skills
- Level III,& Level IV Pilates based Exercises on Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Arc Barrel, Spine Corrector, Ped-o-Pole, and small apparatus!
80 Practical Hours

- 40 hours personal practice

Level III- Dancing with Springs
- 9 weeks
- Dates April 10th – June 9th
- Seminar Hours-Tuesdays 9am-1pm, Thursdays 9am-1pm
- Practical Hours- Saturdays 12pm-4pm (studio is open for personal practice, practice teaching, and observation if needed)

- 40 hours personal practice
- 20 hours practice teaching

Teaching Apprenticeship
- 228 practice teaching hours must be completed prior to practical exam
- By application and invitation these hours may be done as a paid apprenticeship at the USD Studio under the direction of Lisa Orig.
Exam- $250
- Individually Scheduled Practical Exam
- Written Exam & Group Performance Exam
Successful completion of the Comprehensive Training Program & Exam may result in Job Opportunities at the Upside-Down Dance and Pilates Studio! Application and audition lesson required.
